Overview
We aim to make NLA content readable, navigable, and compatible with assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback to help us improve.
Quick summary
- We design for readability, keyboard navigation, and assistive technology compatibility.
- We work to address accessibility issues as they are identified.
- You can request information in alternative formats where feasible.
- If you experience any barriers, contact us and we will respond.
NLA seeks to ensure that our website and published materials are accessible to users with diverse needs. We aim to follow widely recognised accessibility practices for web content and user interfaces.
Examples of measures we implement or aim to implement include:
- clear headings and consistent page structure to support screen readers;
- keyboard navigation support for major interactive components;
- sufficient colour contrast and readable typography where possible;
- meaningful link text and predictable navigation;
- support for text resizing and responsive layouts for different devices.
Some content or features may not be fully accessible in all circumstances, for example:
- PDFs or scanned documents that are not fully tagged for screen readers;
- legacy pages or third-party embedded tools with limited accessibility controls;
- complex tables or legal documents where structure may require improvement.
Workaround: If you experience difficulty accessing any document, contact us and we will assist or provide an alternative format where feasible.
Where reasonably possible, we can provide certain materials in alternative formats or provide assistance accessing content. Requests are handled case-by-case and may depend on the nature of the document and security considerations.
If you encounter any accessibility barrier, please contact us with:
- the page URL (or page name);
- a description of the issue;
- the device/browser and (if relevant) assistive technology used;
- your preferred contact method and the assistance you need.
We periodically review pages and documents for usability and accessibility and prioritise fixes based on impact and materiality. Updates take effect as improvements are implemented.
