License Verification Policy
This policy explains how license verification works, what information may be displayed, and why the Neves Licensing Authority maintains a controlled internal database instead of an open public register.
Overview
The Neves Licensing Authority maintains a controlled, internal licensing database for the purpose of verifying the authorisation status of entities and individuals issued licenses by the Authority. This policy sets out how verification operates and the intended use of results.
1) Purpose of license verification
License verification exists to help clients, counterparties and the public confirm whether a license claim is valid and current.
- Confirm whether a license number or reference is genuine.
- Check the current status of an entry at the time of verification.
- Reduce misuse, cloning and false license representations.
2) Verification method
Verification is performed exclusively through the Authority’s official verification interface, which queries the internal database.
- License number (recommended)
- Legal name of the license holder (where available)
- Registered agent (if applicable)
3) Verification results
A verification result may display one of the following statuses:
- Active
- Conditionally Active
- Under Review
- Suspended
- Revoked
- Voluntarily Surrendered
For definitions and interpretation, refer to License Status Definitions.
4) Controlled database model
The Authority maintains a public verification register accessible through the official lookup interface. Access is limited to individual verification searches. Bulk download of register data, API-based access, automated extraction, or replication of the register on third-party platforms is not permitted.
- Protect confidential and sensitive licensee information.
- Reduce risks of misuse, cloning or mass harvesting of license data.
- Maintain data integrity and accurate, current outcomes.
- Apply privacy and confidentiality standards consistently.
High-level information may be displayed through the public verification tool. Additional information may be shared directly with the license holder and, where appropriate, with competent parties through formal channels.
5) No third-party data access
The Authority does not provide APIs, automated data feeds, bulk exports, or permissions for third parties to mirror license information. Verification outcomes displayed through the official interface are the sole authoritative source for public confirmation of status.
6) Intended use & disclaimer
Verification results may be used for due diligence, counterparty confirmation and internal compliance checks.
- Results must not be altered or presented in a misleading way.
- Verification does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, or approval of business activity.
