The Authority applies standard document control to published guidance, notices and institutional policy pages. This ensures traceability, disciplined updates and consistent citation across the public portal.

Reference Code Format

Reference codes identify the document type, subject area and sequence number. They are used consistently across the website to support citation, internal review and public traceability.

Examples:
NLA/GUID/MKT/025 — Guidance, Market Conduct (sequence 025)
NLA/POL/LS/002 — Policy, Legal Status (sequence 002)
NLA/GOV/DOC/004 — Governance, Document Control (sequence 004)

Publication Timestamps

  • First published is the date the document first became publicly available.
  • Last reviewed is the most recent date the document was reviewed for accuracy and relevance.

When “Last Reviewed” Must Change

  • Any change that affects meaning, scope, interpretation or reader reliance
  • Any correction to a factual statement that could influence verification or compliance
  • Any change to referenced processes, routes, requirements or definitions

Controlled Updates and Traceability

Updates may be issued to reflect policy changes, procedure refinements or supervisory experience. Reference codes remain stable. Where appropriate, the Authority may note material changes within the page body.

The following metadata block should appear on all Guidance pages and institutional policy pages. It should be placed near the end of the main content or in the sidebar.
